Josh Fleischner, Director, New York Office

Josh Fleischner is Director of the New York Office at Set For Life Insurance, where he leads the firm’s presence in New York and advises clients throughout the country.

Insurance was familiar territory to Josh long before it became his profession. He grew up around the business and developed an early understanding of the judgment, technical knowledge, and relationships that distinguish strong insurance advice. Rather than entering insurance directly, Josh began his career in wealth management, where he developed a broader understanding of how risk, liquidity, income, and long term planning intersect. That foundation continues to shape the way he approaches his work today.

Josh has built his career at the intersection of insurance and financial advice, with a particular interest in the more complex questions that arise as careers, compensation, and wealth evolve. His work has taken him across the country, including to medical institutions and residency programs where he has been invited to speak with physicians about income protection and financial planning. He has also been invited to participate in national industry discussions alongside other professionals in the disability insurance field.

Before entering the industry, Josh gained experience in Washington, D.C., including work with the U.S. House Committee on the Budget. That experience, together with his background in wealth management and insurance, has contributed to an approach shaped by curiosity, attention to detail, and an interest in understanding how financial decisions fit into a much larger picture.

Josh graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied political science, entrepreneurship, and writing. He is based in New York City.
