Effective immediately, new occupations have been added to the student loan disability income protection plans:

  • Veterinarians
  • Attorneys
  • Pharmacists

In addition to the new occupations, physicians and dentists can also purchase policies to cover their student loans.

Student loans can be burdensome, especially to professionals starting their careers.

As a professional, if you were to become too sick or injured to work, your student loan payments would still need to be paid.

An affordable way to offset this risk is with a student loan disability insurance policy.  The policy would pay a monthly benefit to pay the loan amount. The length of the policy correlates with the terms of your loan and is intended to pay the balance of your loan.

The student loan disability insurance policy can be significantly less expensive than an individual disability policy for the same monthly benefit.
