Up until recently, physicians could only purchase up to $10,000/monthly individual disability insurance benefit. Approximately a year ago, companies increased this to $15,000/month.  Now, the major players in the disability insurance marketplace for physicians, Berkshire Guardian, MetLife and Principal will now participate up to $20,000/month benefit. This means that a physician may purchase policies from more than one company and aggregate the benefits up to $20,000/month.

If you currently have a policy that has the previous limits, please contact us for assistance to see if you are eligible for the increased benefit amount.
