NBA Basketball Player Disability Insurance

NBA Basketball players may protect themselves from career ending injuries with disability insurance.

Players may not be able to purchase coverage until after the draft and a contract is in place. NCAA players who are highly ranked with a strong chance of being drafted may purchase a policy.

Premiums are based on the player’s age and benefit amount. Benefits are based on contractual income and pay the claimant in a lump sum.
