If you are currently pregnant, you may apply for life insurance. Assuming you have no major complications, the underwriting process will not be much different than if you were not pregnant.

If you are having complications of pregnancy and apply for life insurance, your rates may be much greater and it would make sense to wait to apply for coverage.

If you apply for a policy and it is rated as a result of the pregnancy or complications, most companies will let you reapply after one year of stability and your health concerns are under control.
